My Educational Technology Journey

patricia_smeyers_secaucusWelcome to my blog!  I began this educational journey at Boise State University in 2010, completing  a Master of Educational Technology with a Graduate Certificate as a Technology Integration Specialist.

I am currently teaching fifth grade with a concentration in Math and STEM in New Jersey. I am honored to be awarded the 2018-2019 New Jersey Governor’s Hudson County Educator of the Year and I plan on continuing my leadership role in advocating for STEM education within our public schools.

I invite you to join with me on my path of life-long learning for implementing technology into the K-12 curriculum and STEM educational pedagogy and research.   I welcome your comments, suggestions and support on this blog.  It is exhilarating to envision what future possibilities are in store for our students, teachers and administrators.  The potentials are endless!
